An Evening with Peter Marlow, Magnum Photos

On Monday, March 11 internationally renowned Magnum photographer Peter Marlow delivered a public presentation on his photographic career hosted by City to Sea.

Marlow gave an overview of his work as a Photojournalist and explained his image making process. He showed contact sheets and note books to illustrate his methods of structuring a narrative for the images he produced, including the process of creating photographic narratives of events in Northern Ireland, and looked at his portraiture of public figures including an iconic image of Margaret Thatcher. Projects Marlow spoke about included Liverpool: Looking Out to Sea, Amiens, France, his recently published book The English Cathedral, and the
Point of Interest project.
